Centre Vorlage aims to provide students with a fun and safe experience. Certified instructors deliver lessons according to the methods of the Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance (CSIA) and the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI). We also adhere to the Ontario Physical Education Safety Guidelines (Ophea) and the Ontario School Boards' Insurance Exchange (OSBIE).
Although the student's skill level has been specified by the parents and/or student, Vorlage instructors will determine the appropriateness of this level. A skill evaluation may change a participant's placement. On return visits, students should be in the same group as on the previous visit, unless a Vorlage instructor advises them to change groups. Supervisors, chaperones and volunteers should be available at recommended ratios (Ophea), especially to help students board or disembark lifts the first few times.
We try to offer lessons to all students at the same time, however it is possible that in the case of a large school group, beginner and novice students receive their lesson first and intermediate and advanced students receive their lesson afterwards.
Once the lessons are over, students are responsible for putting what they've learned into practice. Many schools will return to Vorlage on repeat trips with the same students, which is the best way to improve.
Please note! Helmets are mandatory for all school outings.
